What Happens in Orlando . . .

I received my National Geographic yesterday in the mail and a teaser on the front cover about Orlando caught my eye.  It pointed to an article within about the short history of Orlando, Fl. and how it has grown since Walt Disney flew over it to catch a vision for what would soon become the Magic Kingdom.   The author evaluates the genius of Disney and the effect his work had on the area, but also for other communities as well.  I invite you to pick up a copy or read it online, as it has much to say about suburbanization, the rise and growth of the megachurch (the author focuses in on First Baptist Orlando as a case study) and other sociological results.  As you read, consider if bigger is better, especially as it relates to church life.
